Our mission is to develop and implement educational programs that support the marketing objectives of our pharmaceutical clients. We specialize in providing scientific medical communications implemented with a balance of traditional, innovative and interactive delivery mechanisms.

Role & Responsibilities

The Flash/Interactive Designer is responsible for implementing cutting edge animation to build complete flash web sites, incorporate flash animation elements into existing web pages, online banner ads, CD-ROMs, videos and desktop applications that expertly and efficiently accomplish client goals. This individual will be able to implement latest online advertising trends to create rich and impactful creative pieces. This individual will report directly to the Creative Director.



Specific Responsibilities:

-Ability to design for Tablet PC platforms (e.g., Flash-based training modules)

-Capable of performing cross-functional task management for a given project

-Interfaces with agency teams; account service, events, creative, medical, traffic, editorial and more to resolve project-related issues to insure resolution

-Ability to create storyboards and animating concepts and execute concept to the end stage

-Adhere to design and branding standards as well as marketing goals in the execution of design concepts

-Reports project status on a regular basis to management, project team and client

-Ensures deliverables are complete and client expectations are met

-Ability to read, write and comprehend sometimes-complex scientific and strategic information for clients, internal teams and physicians

-Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients, vendors and internal teams

-Develops and refines the scientific content with insights from the client and works with the internal medical teams to ensure its scientific integrity





Professional Experience, Skills and Requirements

-Bachelors degree in a design-related field and 4 to 6 years of pharmaceutical marketing or medical education experience required

-Must have a strong, diverse portfolio that includes Flash design work in pharmaceutical or medical education marketing

-Strong layout, typography, motion graphic and interaction design skills

-Advanced proficiency in Adobe Flash CS3/CS4 (interface design, user experience, IA/navigation functionality, intermediate-level ActionScript 2.0/3.0 and ability to collaborate with object-oriented programming developers)

o with Adobe Creative Suite CS3/CS4: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Acrobat 8.0 Professional (e.g., multimedia PDFs)

o and Video/Audio Editing and FX: Final Cut Pro (or Premiere), Sound Forge (or Soundbooth), After Effects

o optional: Web design: Dreamweaver/HTML, CSS, Javascript, cross-browser/cross-platform design, XML

o optional: 3D rendering: 3DS Max, Maya (e.g., for medical/cellular animation or realistic illustrations of clinical exam room settings)

-Fluent in agency process, including job routing and traffic procedures, to ensure quality control at all stages of the project

-Significant knowledge of the process to develop interactive and web-based programs

-Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal skills

-Detailed oriented and take ownership attitude

-Must be highly skilled in time management to facilitate responsibility for multiple simultaneous projects

-Must have the ability to work independently and communicate to all organization levels

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
